We were warned, but we didn’t listen. Yes it is sad. The Redbox kiosk has virtually put BlockBuster out of business to where soon you will be renting thier movies out of a Bluebox. You can do all of your banking from a 24 hour ATM. Rent a car from the airport from the Alamo kiosk. Sign in to the minute clinic kiosk at walgreens when you arive for your appiontment. And now you can get 99 tacos for 2 cent (ha) from Jacks kiosk. But we cant say we weren’t warned in advanced several years ago. My main example will be Theodore Kaczynski (The Unabomber). Yes the unabomber from the 1980’s. Theodore was actually a VERY smart man that was a Harvard undergraduate, had a PhD in mathmatics from University of Michigan, and was a professor at University of California, Berkeley. But what drove the unabomber to the brink of insanity was the wilderness around his home being destroyed by development and technology. He said that technology was going to rot the minds of our children and take the jobs of our fathers. So he decided to send bombs to the CEO’s of high tech companys such as Boeing. As much as I hate to say it, it looks like Mr. Kaczynski was right.

I agree with you completely. This world relies to much on technology and it has become a major problem in the United States. There are so many electronics where people used to work and this has effected our employment growth rate. People are starting to depend to much on technology and not enough with their own skills. This picture shows how much our world has changed. First off by showing how we now have fast food restaurants wherever people go. Second off there are electronics machine that have taken the place of people’s job. This is so absurd, because society should be relying on themselves to survive not a machine.

WOW! This is so crazy. As soon as I saw this picture, I knew I just had to reblog this! I can not believe what our world has come to. Everything is so convienent…too convienent. We have taken all of the hard work out of our daily lives. We compensate doing work for sitting on the computer; Instead of walking downstairs to ask someone a question or talk to them, we use our cell phones to call them so that we do not have to get up or move; Walking somewhere doesnt even exist anymore, there is only driving, and not that the drive thru was not convienent enough, but now you can simply use this machine to order your meal and pay for it. It makes me think, “what will soon be the use for humans?” Scary thought. This is crazy! I agree with yall.

I posted this picture because it is finally November, and the New Moon movie comes out in November. I have been waiting on this movie to come out for at least a year now, and I am so excited to go see it. I read this book about a year ago, after I read Twilight, the first book in the series. I am in love with these books, and I am so glad that the author, Stephanie Meyer has agreed to make movies for her books. Dakota Fanning is starring in New Moon, which is a good thing for Twilight, because they finally has a big movie star in one of the movies. I plan on going to the midnight showing of the movie, and I am going to have to buy my ticket early, because I know tickets will sell out quick. For anyone looking for something good to read, I highly suggest this book, New Moon….after you read Twilight first, of course!

LOL. I thought the people watching this movie were hilarious! I went with a friend to see this and we laughed the entire time. Everyone was so on-edge it was almost comical. The movie was ridiculous too. Everyone in the theater screams when… a door moves? When they see a shadow? Come on people. The noises you are hearing are those damned Keebler Elves. The acting was great, and it was entertaining, but also little over-hyped. And… they never checked under the bed! Idiots!
Week 7
Last week I went and saw Paranormal Activity in theatres and I literally was gripping the seat I was so scared. It was really intense. The movie is about a girl who is haunted by something in her house and she cannot ever get away from it. Every night it shows up in their house and something creepy happens. The writer did a very good job at portraying the creativity and scariness of this movie. It differs from most other scary movies and it really freaked me out. I was even thinking about it almost the rest of the day. I suggest everyone go and see it!

I decided to re-blog kristas-09 post because I actually saw Paranormal Activity twice! And it was still scary both times. I loved the movie and I’m considering buying it when it comes out on DVD. This really was a different type of horror movie because when you think of scary movies, you think of slasher films or some serial killer breaking into your home and there is nowhere to escape or something really bloody and gory, but this movie was definitely different and actually believable and I suggest that those who have not seen it, should really see it because it’s not a waste of money!

I think it’s hilarious that you thought parts of the movie were funny and ridiculous. I have only heard people say that Paranormal Activity was the scariest thing they had ever seen, so I decided I would not ever go see it. This definitely has been the most talked about horror film ever. I’ve seen the commercials that show the audience freaking out about the movie, and the commercials talking about voting for the movie. It was amazing how many people voted for the movie, and got it to play everywhere. After hearing all of you talk about how good it was and that it is worth your money, it kind of makes me want to go see it, but I am too much of a chicken. I will probably see it when it comes out on DVD.

This is extremely funny!!!!! it amazes me how babies react to music. They dance, squirm around and just get really excited. I think that it is the cutest thing ever when babies dance. My mom once told me that when i was baby and music would come on,i would always dance around and do cute things. Its also funny how the song is single ladies, and the baby is just dancing and doesn’t have any idea about what the song actually is saying. When the baby grows up he’s going to think wow i was dancin to this and didnt even know what i was dancing to. Just the other day this song came on that i used to love and sing when i was younger, its by, Erika Badu, “Call Tyrone”. I knew that song word for word and everybody thought it was so cute when ever i would sing the song. The funny thing is that i had no idea what i was singing about, so when i heard the song earlier this week, i could do nothing but laugh cuz i was 6 yrs old singing about a man that was no good. He was cheap and used his women and didn’t appreciate her, and so finally the woman, Erika Badu, tells the man to call Tyrone and to come help him move out of her life. What could i have possibly known about that at 6 yrs old. Its amazing what young kids sing and dance about.

I feel that babies dancing is by far one of the most memorable things to look back on as you get older. I know my parents have a home video of me dancing to “criss-cross”. I wasn’t very good at dancing and the only “dance” I ever did was to wiggle my leg around. The wiggle was actually a close resmeblance to the old move that Elvis Presely used to do back in the day. Looking back on the videos makes me think on how amazing it is that I couldn’t even say mom or dad but I could dance. It kind of seems like dancing goes right along with smiling and laughing and there all things you’re just born knowing how to do. I can’t wait till one day im holding the camera recording my little baby doing what they were born knowing to do. They’ll just be dancing and smiling. This is such a cute video!

This is a quote from Sherlock Holmes where it was or which book it was in escapes me. I always thought this was rather funny because its true. Reality can be far more fictional then any fiction. What goes on is crazy, the things you don’t see on the five o’clock will surprise you every time. Maybe its because fiction is based on possibility, where as reality never cared about possibility. Possibility tries to tell reality how it should act but she’s a rebelling teenager and doesn’t listen. Reality always turns the volume up on life and runs with the wrong crowd, while possibility says listen to me because mother knows best. Reality is really just like possibility because when possibility was young she was crazy. She changed after she had reality out of wedlock. So that means reality effected possibility but possibility only feeds reality. Haha that was fun

I have heard this quote somewhere before, but I couldn’t remember where. I really like it because it truly describes life. Most people dont realize it, but fiction is just what we make up, according to how ridiculous our lives are. Someone in our class used a quote, “strange how average we see ourselves” and I feel like it relates to this quote. The truth is something so many people work so hard to keep a secret, but there is no reason to, because fiction is so close to the truth. It’s interesting to hear this quote and think about how much it applys to my life.

I agree with everything you said, and I think it is really funny how you made the point about Beyonce winning the Award Kanye wanted her to win. I had never thought about that. I was a fan of Kanye and people had always talked about him and said he was a bad person, but I tried to stick with him, but after what he did last week, I can not stand up for him anymore. I feel sorry that Taylor Swift had to deal with this, and I hope she does not get hurt by the opinions of one simple-minded person. Beyonce is definitely a better person for letting Taylor Swift come out again and give her second acceptance speech, and I hope that people only learn to be more like Beyonce and less like Kanye. I really wish they would fine Kanye for this!
